The Health Ranger Mike Adams and U.S. Rep. Michael Cloud (R-TX) discussed how increasing domestic energy production brings down food prices during a recent episode of the “Health Ranger Report.”
“The best way to bring food prices down is to have more domestic energy production,” Adams began, noting that farming and transportation are using fuel. He pointed out that Texas, his home state, has abundant energy – but Texans are prohibited from tapping into this natural resource.
Cloud, who represents the Lone Star State’s 27th district in the U.S. Congress, agreed with the Health Ranger. He stated that the need for energy has been demonized – something the congressman found “very odd” as people using energy ought to be a good thing. The congressman reiterated that America should not be shy about producing American energy since it also ends up being a great supplier for its allies across the world.
According to Cloud, domestic energy production connects to so many different issues, including that of the food supply. This is because farmers make use of the energy in the form of fuel to transport crops, while manufacturers utilize their energy in the form of electricity to process food.
“And so, when it comes to the way we’re using energy – we produce energy cleaner, more efficiently, more effectively [and] more responsibly than the rest of the world. What we can do to accomplish what is stated to be all these ‘green objectives’ is to have more American energy take up the slice of the pie,” Cloud remarked.
“It’s not even just a doubling. It’s an exponential demand that we’re going to be looking at. We’re going to need all the energy that we can produce.”
Meanwhile, Adams said even President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have admitted that food prices are sky-high. Producing energy domestically could help bring down these prices and make food more affordable for the American consumer. The founder of Brighteon.com and Natural News also reiterated the need for a federal food freedom effort in the country. Under this endeavor, Americans will have the right to grow food in their yard without being harassed by a homeowners association or the local government. It will also grant them the right to sell the food they grow at a farmer’s market within reasonable scale.
According to the Health Ranger, food freedom is a big issue these days with food inflation and people wanting to achieve food independence. Thus, this effort could be similar to the Victory Gardens during World War II.
He pointed out that the food supply chain has been devastated since the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, making it more difficult to get reliable food. American farmers took a beating under COVID-19, with state health departments shutting down a lot of farms.
Cloud agreed with the prospect, commenting that Americans should be able to do it since it can be an easy one. A lot of churches are now growing gardens in their yards to help the community and less fortunate people, the congressman added. Such gardens are helpful, especially in these tough times with inflation and other things happening.
